Atmospheric Swedish duo Anwai, aka Mons Lorenzen and Amadeus Rudolfsson, took the decision to lock themselves in a studio (presumably allowing themselves comfort and food/sleep breaks, but you never know with these electronic types) to record an album, with no outside distractions. Emerging with the fruits of their labour, intact but possibly frazzled by e chaotic nature of their work, the pair have released a new track, Move Along’ one out of seven songs included on the still unreleased album ‘Sycamore Trees’.
There’s an underlying sadness about the track, as it wistfully meanders along. Its full of forlorn tales of love, echoey guitar lines and abrupt synths, all coaxed along with this rippling percussion. Best of all is the chorus, this things of singalong beauty that stinks into your mind, and beds in for the…well, who knows how long.
