Track: Cute Cute Death – Pockets

Taken them from the forthcoming mini-album, Vessels, which drops on Monday 10th August comes the new single from Kingston upon Thames five piece, Cute Cute Death. Describing their sound as like a monkey casually humping a lama that borrowed a cheese grater to chew on while they take to the hills on a kawasaki ninja, the band make anthemic post-hardcore of some note.

Pockets is about frustration. Frustration at being a pawn in a bigger game, at the mercy of bosses and employers who don’t necessarily give who they employ as much attention as greed and profit. Right from the off its brutal, supercharged punk/hardcore, the verses tripping along, but it hangs back in the chorus’, and clears the way for the sung melody, lines clouding over again in verses, increasingly littered with guitar lines, where the vitriol spills over into these shouted accusations and commands.
