New Music: Depeche Mode – Little Universe (Boys Noize Remix)

Alex Ridha, aka Boys Noize, has taken the original stripped back production of ‘Little Universe’ (that concentrated more on Dave Gahan’s vocal and simple electronic beats) and turned it into a full on acid house rave. There’s more urgency in the vocal delivery and production, a nice electronic snare drum that all gets whipped up into a frenzy. It’s tremendous.

The A and B side are both taken for Depeche Mode’s 13th studio album, Delta Machine, from March 2013. The remixes released on 23 June, the first from Alex with fellow Boys Noize buddy Djedjotronic remixing ‘Alone’ into a suitably dark and brooding, techno affair.
