Young indie scamps High Tyde are continuing their quest to become the hottest property in the whole (indie) world right now, with the release of the title track to their forthcoming EP, Glow. Their previous single Do What You Want, found favour with the likes of Huw Stephens, who premiered it on his Radio 1 show, and the band have been busy racking up the gigs, with support slots with Little Comets, Bad Suns and Peace.
Glow is achingly catchy, hopelessly optimistic and deliciously bouncy. Driven by this almost disco drumming, it propels onwards right from the off, guitars spewing over the verses and choruses as it arrows straight for your heart. As it begins to unravel in the middle, there’s a brief (rather beautiful) let up in the positivity, before this shimmering guitar solo puts the icing on the cake.
