Taken from his Mob Boss EP, out now on Kapsize Recordings comes the lead single, Vehemont from London Grime producer Sh?m (Shem question mark). In contrast to the heavier, bass heavy vibe of the EP, Vehement is moodier, groovier and (even) funkier.
Right from the off it’s packed with these windswept synth lines, with tumbling beats and overlayered vocal cut ups. As it unfurls, so more and more interest is added – little repeating synth patterns, as it all beings to seep into each other and gently ebb and flow, the drive provided by the percussive beats, gradually infecting the sound with some metallic edge to finish.
