Track: Vukovi – Boy George, plus tour dates

Taken from their forthcoming debut album, experimental Scottish rockers Vukovi have announced the release of a new track, Boy George due out on August 3rd and available to pre-order right now via iTunes. The band have been making increasing waves on the scene, sharing the stage with the likes of Don Broco, Lower than Atlantis and Prides, and playing festivals including T in the Park, Hard Rock Calling and Hit the Deck.

About Boy George (the song, that is), singer Janine says “I wanted the listener to have their own perception on the lyrics. Narcissism is a key word. People “climbing up the ladder” the wrong way in this industry. It sets a terrible example.” It blasts into life at the beginning, laying down more than solid foundations. It pulsates through the verse, muscular and attitude soaked before it reaches this harmony driven chorus. Over the top Janine’s vocal is glorious, warm and inviting against the power and aggression underneath. As it continues, so things become more experimental – or at least more ambitious. Guitars provide layers, alternating sometimes, the patterns in the music change, but still there’s this attractive melodic quality that catches your ears, and your breath.
