Irish singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe is heading back to Australia in March 2027, and he’s wasting no time building on the momentum of his sold-out tour earlier this year. Five headline shows are on the cards, including a Sydney performance at Liberty Hall on St Patrick’s Day. The timing couldn’t be better.
The tour kicks off at Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on 14 March before hitting Sydney on 17 March, Brisbane on 19 March, Adelaide on 21 March and Fremantle on 22 March.
Raised in Monkstown Farm, Dublin, Rowe cuts his teeth playing pubs across Ireland, developing a voice that commands attention without needing much accompaniment. Drawing on the soul of Sam Cooke and Nina Simone alongside the folk influences of Paolo Nutini, he delivers songs that favour emotional honesty over unnecessary polish.
His track Hey Ma is a case in point. A deeply personal reflection on family, memory and home, it draws on the experiences that shape his songwriting. Raised by a single mother alongside three sisters, Rowe turns the details of his own life into music that connects well beyond his hometown.
Years spent performing in pubs and touring relentlessly have helped build his reputation, with his career bringing him into the orbit of artists including Lewis Capaldi, Dermot Kennedy, Ed Sheeran and David Gray.
But it’s his live performances that are doing much of the talking. Rowe has developed a reputation for holding an audience with little more than his voice, a guitar and songs that get straight to the point. His sold-out Australian run earlier this year suggests that word is spreading quickly.
Now he’s returning for round two, with bigger expectations and a growing audience ready to hear what comes next. Sydney’s St Patrick’s Day show looks particularly well timed for an Irish artist making serious headway on the international stage.
