Baby Keem is heading back to Australia this December, bringing The Ca$ino Tour to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney following a run of sold-out North American shows.
The tour arrives with Keem firmly into the next phase of his career. His second studio album, Ca$ino, landed in February via pgLang and Columbia Records, following a five-year gap since his breakthrough debut The Melodic Blue.
Born Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr. and raised in Las Vegas, Keem first began attracting attention behind the scenes, contributing to projects including Black Panther: The Album and Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift. By 2019, however, ‘Orange Soda’ had shifted the attention squarely onto him, eventually becoming a quadruple-platinum hit in the US.
Things accelerated considerably with The Melodic Blue in 2021. The album reached Number Five on the Billboard 200, while ‘Family Ties’, his collaboration with cousin Kendrick Lamar, won Best Rap Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards.
That creative relationship has remained central to Keem’s rise. Alongside their work on ‘Family Ties’, Keem contributed to Lamar’s Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, while collaborations elsewhere have included an appearance on Kanye West’s Donda. Both projects earned Keem Album of the Year Grammy nominations.
But Ca$ino brings the focus back to Keem’s own world. Released in February, the record finally follows The Melodic Blue and gives The Ca$ino Tour an entirely new body of material to draw from alongside the tracks that turned him from an intriguing young producer and rapper into a Grammy winner.
After taking the show through North America, Baby Keem now brings The Ca$ino Tour to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this December, giving Australian audiences their first chance to see this latest chapter played out live.
