News: Cradle of Filth and DevilDriver Confirm Australian Co-Headline Tour for July

When Cradle of Filth and DevilDriver first joined forces for a North American tour in 2023, the pairing felt inevitable. British theatrical extremity met American groove driven force, each band bringing a catalogue built on intensity and longevity. This July, that collaboration finally reaches Australian stages.

Cradle of Filth arrive fresh from the release of their 14th studio album, The Screaming of the Valkyries. Led by Dani Filth, the band continue to refine their blend of blackened gothic metal and orchestral scale, a sound that has remained distinct since their early 90s emergence. Their last Australian visit resulted in sold out dates, a testament to a following that has remained consistent across generations of heavy music fans.

DevilDriver, fronted by Dez Fafara, bring a different but complementary weight. Their groove centred approach has evolved over two decades, balancing precision with abrasion. From early era staples to more recent material, their sets tend to hinge on tightly wound riffs and a controlled, physical momentum.

Both bands will perform full headline sets, drawing from career spanning catalogues rather than condensed festival style appearances. The result is less a support slot dynamic and more a deliberate collision of two established forces.

For Australian audiences, the July run offers a rare chance to see both bands operating at full scale on the same bill, each occupying their own lane while sharing the same stage.
