News: Horologica Releases New EP ‘I Want It More Than Anyone’

London-based singer-songwriter Horologica has released the new EP, I Want It More Than Anyone, a warmly textured collection of songs that trace the contours of love, self-expression, and emotional clarity. Anchored by instinctive songwriting and a distinctly human sense of reflection, the project marks a confident step forward in an evolving artistic journey defined by contrast – precision by day, emotion by night.

Originally from Wisconsin, Horologica now lives and works in London, where his dual life plays a central role in shaping his music. A professional horologist, he spends his working hours immersed in the meticulous world of timekeeping—repairing and studying mechanisms designed for absolute precision. That relationship with structure and detail subtly informs his songwriting, which often feels carefully constructed yet emotionally free.

I Want It More Than Anyone, his second EP, gathers a set of songs that reflect both personal growth and a deepening creative identity. The title itself, he explains, emerged naturally once the collection was complete – an emotional thread that captured the intensity and sincerity running through the project.

At the heart of the release is ‘Feather’, a standout track built on immediacy and intuition. The song arrived quickly, born from a moment of unfiltered inspiration at the piano.

“I wrote the draft of the track in only 45 minutes,” Horologica shares. “It was a burst of inspiration at the piano.”

That initial spark became the foundation for a fuller, more expansive production shaped in collaboration with a Grammy-winning production team. The result is a layered, harmony-rich composition that feels both intimate and cinematic. Airy vocal interplay gives “Feather” its lift, creating a sense of movement that mirrors its title—light, floating, and emotionally buoyant.

The track also exemplifies Horologica’s broader approach to songwriting across the EP. His music leans into openness and emotional transparency, often exploring themes of connection, identity, and romantic reflection. Rather than relying on complexity for its own sake, his writing favors clarity—conversational phrasing, melodic warmth, and a clear affection for harmony.

Across I Want It More Than Anyone, that sensibility remains consistent. Each track contributes to a cohesive emotional landscape, balancing introspective moments with an undercurrent of optimism. The songs feel lived-in rather than performed, as though they were written in real time alongside the emotions they describe.

“This music is a piece of my soul,” Horologica says. “I think people will really connect with my lyrics, more than anything. It’s so therapeutic to release this.”

That sense of release is central to the EP’s identity. Where his professional life is governed by gears, timing, and mechanical certainty, his music offers something more fluid: a space where feelings are not measured but expressed. The contrast between horology and songwriting becomes more than a biographical detail—it becomes a creative philosophy.

Nowhere is that clearer than on ‘Feather’, which distills the EP’s emotional palette into a single, radiant moment. The track’s warmth and harmonic layering embody the project’s guiding idea: that clarity can come not from control, but from allowing emotion to move freely.
