The Grammy Award-winning American rock band Greta Van Fleet have announced their return to Australia and New Zealand this August, their first visit since 2019. The tour kicks off at Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on August 21st, followed by a performance at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on August 24th, and Margaret Court Arena in Melbourne on August 27th. The band will then head to New Zealand to conclude their tour at Auckland’s Spark Arena on August 30th.

Greta Van Fleet’s Starcatcher World Tour has taken the band to some of the world’s most iconic venues, including Madison Square Garden in New York, The Forum in Los Angeles, and London’s OVO Arena Wembley. The tour has traversed the U.S., Europe, and the U.K., returning briefly to the U.S. before moving on to European and Japanese festivals. And now its Australia and New Zealand’s turn!

Originating from Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet was formed in 2012 by brothers Josh Kiszka (vocalist), Jake Kiszka (guitarist), and Sam Kiszka (bassist/keyboardist), later joined by drummer Danny Wagner. The band made a significant impact in 2017 with their EP “From The Fires,” which clinched the Best Rock Album at the 61st Grammy Awards.

Their remarkable ascent continued with the 2021 release of their second album, ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate,’ which received widespread acclaim and topped several Billboard charts: #1 Rock Album, #1 Hard Rock Album, #1 Vinyl Album, #2 Top Album Sales, and landed in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. Their 2023 album ‘Starcatcher’ also made an impressive debut at #8 on the Billboard Top 200, solidifying Greta Van Fleet’s status as a major force in rock music.

‘Starcatcher’ was crafted alongside Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (known for his work with Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile) at the historic RCA Studios in Nashville. The band took full advantage of the studio’s expansive recording space to capture the electrifying essence of their renowned live shows.
