New York producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Jerry Jean, shares the vibrant R&B-Pop sweller ‘Lean In’. Featuring 2024 Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Nicole Zuraitis, the tracks showcases tight, 80s enthused musicianship with some infectious vocal melodies.
A display of some stunning instrumental performances with it’s right key changes and soaring saxophone work, ‘Lean In’ is led by the breathtaking dual vocals of Jean and Zuraitis which glide above the danceable groove of the track. Heartfelt, intricate and underpinned by some spellbinding gospel harmonies sung by Grammy-nominated singer Tehillah Alphonso, the single builds through it’s instrumental break to a euphoric final chorus
Jean shares, “I wrote ‘Lean In’ as a reminder to be fully present in whichever stage of life you’re in. To inhabit the now and not dwell on the past or the future. Life’s incredibly dynamic when you’re committed to the now, and I tried to capture this vibrancy with ‘Lean In’.”
A versatile multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Jean has performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, MTV Unplugged, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the United Nations, and The Bitter End. He has shared the stage with artists ranging from Florence + The Machine to Boyz II Men. Now releasing more of his own material, Jerry Jean continues to highlight his unquestionable talen.
