News: Julien Baker Live Stream Performing New Album Little Oblivions

Julien will be performing a full-length, full-band set featuring songs from her new album Little Oblivions which came out in February to widespread acclaim and her highest chart positions to date (#21 Australia, #37 Germany, #39 USA, #51 UK). It’s quickly amassed over 12 million streams on Spotify with Julien having over 1.5 million monthly listeners on the platform. Her latest single ‘Favor’ has been getting support from Annie Mac on Radio 1 and Julien recently played performed ‘Faith Healer’ on CBS This Morning and the previous week she played ‘Hardline’ on Seth Meyers

Julien Baker’s album release live show which will be streaming next Friday, March 25, at 7pm GMT from Nashville’s Analog venue at Hutton Hotel, and will be available for 24 hours after it’s airing on-demand. Special guest Mini Trees will be supporting.

Little Oblivions is a dramatic sonic departure from Julien’s more intimate and stripped-back previous work, adopting a kaleidoscopic sound encompassing bass, drums, synthesisers, banjo and mandolin, with nearly all of the instruments performed by Julien who self-produced the album, and sets her famously searing and oft-quoted lyrics to bold new backdrops.

It weaves unflinching autobiography with assimilated experience and often hard-won observations from the past few years of Julien’s work and life on tour. Fellow Boygenius members Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers make a backing vocals cameo on the song ‘Favor’, continuing the spirit of camaraderie and collaboration from Julien’s recent appearances with the duo on albums by Hayley Williams and Bridgers.
