News: Killswitch Engage complete Australian tour lineup with Heists and Sylosis

Killswitch Engage have filled the final spaces on their 2026 Australian and New Zealand tour bill, with Heists, Pull Down The Sun and New Way Home joining the already stacked run alongside Sylosis.

For Australia, Sydney metalcore outfit Heists get the call, joining Killswitch Engage and British heavyweights Sylosis from Brisbane through to Perth. Across the Tasman, Pull Down The Sun will appear in Auckland and Wellington, while New Way Home open the already sold-out second Auckland show.

The announcement comes with several dates already at capacity. Auckland, Wellington and Melbourne have sold out, while Sydney, Wollongong and Perth are down to limited tickets. Brisbane, Newcastle, the additional Melbourne date and Adelaide are also moving quickly.

Killswitch Engage return after celebrating 25 years as a band and releasing their latest album This Consequence, home to I Believe, which became the biggest radio hit of their career.

Their influence on modern metalcore is difficult to separate from the genre itself. Albums including Alive or Just Breathing, The End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies helped establish the combination of hardcore muscle, melodic guitar work and enormous choruses that would ripple through heavy music throughout the 2000s and beyond.

Later records Disarm the Descent, Incarnate and Atonement kept Killswitch Engage moving rather than simply trading on those early records, while three Grammy nominations and a touring history that has put them alongside Iron Maiden, Slayer, Slipknot, Mastodon, My Chemical Romance and Parkway Drive give some indication of the ground covered along the way.

This time around, the band are promising a career-spanning set, but the addition of Heists makes the Australian dates considerably more interesting at ground level. With Sylosis already providing serious weight in the special guest slot, the completed bill now connects one of metalcore’s foundational bands with a much newer Australian generation.
