Sofia Gobbi Releases her anticipated debut album Bigger Man.

Coupling pop tendencies with the grit of indie rock, Bigger Man is a ten-track celebration of youth and everything that comes with it. Across the album, Gobbi forges infectious, emotionally charged anthems that explore relationships, struggle, one-night stands and the blurred spaces in between. Expansive yet intimate, the record highlights her rare ability to balance heart-on-sleeve honesty with euphoric energy, capable of tugging at the heartstrings while giving you that energising spring in your step in the same breath.

Bigger Man reflects on the realities of modern dating, where roles are shifting, expectations are unclear, and emotional labour often falls unevenly. Through sharp lyricism and anthemic hooks, Gobbi captures both the frustration and freedom of navigating love, independence and self-worth in today’s world.

Gobbi adds: “Dating today is messy. Roles are shifting, expectations are blurring, and a lot of the time it feels like women are the ones carrying it all – making the first move, planning the dates, picking up the check, and holding the emotional weight. At one point, I thought: fine, I’ll be the bigger man.”

Across the album, Sofia brings an edgy bite, taking satirical swipes at modern youth whilst bringing infectious, radio ready melodies and tight guitar led backdrops. From moments which would sit well on a Wet Leg album to others which are closer to Olivia Rodrigo and CMAT, the album see’s Gobbi deliver on her potential. Stand out tracks like the witty, gritty new single ‘Your Mum’, the fuzzy ‘That Ass!’ and the vibrant, feel good ‘Idk’, its effortlessly cool and effortlessly likeable.

Produced in collaboration with Tom Stafford (Orla Gartland, GRACEY) and Grammy-nominated Andrea Mastroiacovo (Olivia Dean, Lewis Capaldi, Sigrid), Bigger Man sees Gobbi push her artistry to new heights. With a rapidly growing fanbase, major industry support and a debut record that fully realises her vision, Bigger Man marks Sofia Gobbi’s arrival as a bold new storyteller in alt-pop, confident, candid and unapologetically herself.
