Megan Moroney is heading back to Australia in May 2027, returning less than two years after her first visit with a considerably bigger run of headline shows. The Nashville singer-songwriter will bring ‘The Cloud 9 Tour’ to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with fellow country artist Laci Kaye Booth joining her across all three dates.
The tour opens at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on May 8 before moving to Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on May 11 and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on May 14. All three shows are licensed all ages, with Frontier Members getting first access to tickets from September 8 ahead of the general sale on September 9.
Moroney made her Australian debut in 2025, appearing at Ridin’ Hearts Festival and playing a Brisbane headline show that sold out within minutes. She returns with another album behind her, having released her third record ‘Cloud 9’ earlier this year.
Her breakthrough came with ‘Tennessee Orange’, the five-times Platinum single from 2023 debut ‘Lucky’. Second album ‘Am I Okay?’ followed with another sizeable chart showing, while its title track and ‘No Caller ID’ added to a catalogue built around Moroney’s knack for putting romantic disappointments and bad decisions into sharp, self-aware country songs.
‘Cloud 9’ continues that approach while widening the frame around her songwriting. The record won Album of the Year at the 2026 American Music Awards and includes ‘6 Months Later’, ‘Beautiful Things’ and ‘Wish I Didn’t’, alongside appearances from Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves.
Moroney’s rise has been accompanied by an increasingly busy touring schedule. Her ‘Am I Okay? Tour’ sold out across the US and broke attendance records at several venues, while the move into Australian arenas marks a significant jump from her previous visit.
Joining her is Laci Kaye Booth, who will be familiar to some Australian country audiences after recently supporting Morgan Evans on his national tour. Booth released debut album ‘The Loneliest Girl In The World’ in 2024 before following it with ‘Luck Of The Draw’, which has passed eight million global streams.
Booth has since made her Grand Ole Opry debut and toured alongside Parker McCollum, Moroney and Ella Langley. Her third album, ‘Love Ain’t For The Faint Of Heart’, arrives September 18, giving Australian audiences plenty of new material to hear when she returns next May.
For Moroney, the tour brings her Australian story neatly back around. The singer who sold out a Brisbane headline date in minutes on her first visit is returning to play three of the country’s major arenas, with ‘Cloud 9’ now at the centre of the set.
