News: Naarm/Melbourne’s brilliant HighSchool announce East Coast Australian tour following extensive US/European schedule, in support of debut self-titled album.

In very exiting news, one of Backseat Mafia’s favourite antipodean bands, Naarm/Melbourne’s HighSchool, have just announced an East Coast tour of Australia in support of their self-titled debut album. This album followed up their magnificent EP ‘Accelerator’ in 2024 (see my 9/10 review here) and a spate of brilliant singles leading up to the album release reviewed by us here.

The East Coast tour ends up an extensive touring schedule with dates across the US and UK/Europe in March and April, and will be a glorious homecoming from a band that exudes an effortless louche and insouciant cool.

The dates are:

Thursday, 7 May  at The Lansdowne Hotel, Eora/Sydney –  Tickets on sale Friday, Jan 30th 1PM (local)
Friday, 8 May at Black Bear Lodge, Meanjin/Brisbane – Tickets on sale Friday, Jan 30th 1PM (local)
Saturday, 9 May at the Howler, Naarm/Melbourne – Tickets on sale Friday, Jan 30th 1PM (local)

Tickets for the shows, presented by Handsome Tours, will be available here and you can sign up for pre-sales here. Full details of their world tour schedule can be found below.

In the meantime, make sure you download or stream their album here, released through [PIAS] Australia

HighSchool are Rory Trobbiani and Luke Scott, augmented by live members Lily Trobbiani and Lucy Lamb.
