News: Jasmine Power Takes A Bold ‘LEAP’ With New Single

Welsh singer, pianist, and songwriter Jasmine Power releases the new single ‘LEAP’. Accompanied by a striking new music video out today.

Co-written with Stephen Leiweke in Nashville, Tennessee, the track marries intricate melodies with reflective storytelling to creat a sound which is emotionally compelling and holds radiant commercial appeal. Piano piano, subtle beautifully placed guitars and punching drums, the track creates a warming backdrop for Power’s theatrical, compelling lead vocal.

Rooted in her Welsh heritage, ‘LEAP’ channels the poignant concept of Hiraeth, a profound longing for home, place, or time that may be lost or never existed, while simultaneously celebrating the exhilaration of daring to leap toward one’s dreams. Dedicated to anyone who has sacrificed to follow their passions, the song is a testament to both vulnerability and empowerment, a balance that has become a hallmark of Jasmine’s artistry.

“I hope LEAP inspires people to dance into their joy and to be fearless with their dreams and the life they wish to lead… life is too short to do anything but,” Jasmine Power shared about the release.

Alongside her solo work, Jasmine Power has collaborated with esteemed artists including Melissa Manchester, Moses Boyd, Joe Armon-Jones (Ezra Collective), Broadway star Laura Osnes, and Eric Martin (Technotronic). Her 2023 track ‘Verge of the Unknown’ held a spot on BBC Radio Wales’ A-list playlist for eight consecutive weeks, signaling her rising prominence in the UK music scene.

The release of ‘LEAP’ marks the first glimpse into Jasmine’s forthcoming album with mor releases due throughout the year.
