Damnation Festival have announced their first batch of bands for their 2024 edition including full album sets, uk debuts and exclusive uk shows

US Metalcore legends BLEEDING THROUGH and Power Violence juggernaut NAILS will perform exclusive UK shows at Damnation 2024.

To celebrate their long-awaited return to British shores, Bleeding Through will play their iconic record ‘This Is Love, This Is Murderous’ in full.

Post-Metal giants RUSSIAN CIRCLES and Death Metal standouts GATECREEPER also join the first wave of bands to play the 18th edition of Damnation, which will be hosted in BEC Arena, Manchester, on Saturday, November 2.

THE RUINS OF BEVERAST, CELESTE, AHAB, DOOL and HEXIS will add a stunning mix of Black Metal, Doom, Sludge and Heavy Rock to proceedings while American Screamo outfit GILLIAN CARTER make their UK debut.

Bleeding Through said: “The UK has always been a special place for Bleeding Through. When we released ‘This Is Love This Is Murderous’ the UK treated us as one of their own and we felt the love from our UK fans more than anyone else.

“The connection that we formed with them really helped drive us as and become the band that we are today. We owe the UK so much and we are stoked to go back and share our music with our incredible fans.”

On making their Damnation debut, German Black Metallers The Ruins of Beverast said: “Our visits in the UK may have been less in number, but all the more intense. That’s why we’re stoked to invade Manchester and appear at 2024’s edition of venerable Damnation festival!”

Gillian Carter added: “We’re super stoked and honoured to announce our debut UK show to be at the legendary Damnation!”

Damnation organiser Gavin McInally said: “With 1,400 tickets sold before we’d even announced a band, the pressure was on to repay that faith.

“Landing not only the return of Bleeding Through, but an exclusive play through of ‘This Is Love, This Is Murderous’ was an unbelievable coup, and then to bag Nails’ only UK show on top, is a carnage combo that will need to be survived.

“Will Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire or You Will Never Be One of Us be the soundtrack to BEC Arena being split in two, or will Gatecreeper have something to say about that as they reach for the top of the Death Metal pile?

“Russian Circles has been a long time coming while the incredible Ruins of Beverast, Dool and Hexis also make Damnation debuts while fan favourites Celeste and Ahab make their returns.”

He added: “We’ve fallen in love lately with introducing incredible bands to the UK, be it We Lost The Sea, Frayle or Deadguy and this year we’re very proud to have Gillian Carter finally cross the Atlantic and become a new favourite for many fans.

Headliners are still to be announced.

Since the announcement was unleashed on us Damnation have commented that “it’s hard to remember a better reaction to an announcement than we had today (maybe Bolt Thrower ten years ago?)”.

They have also updated us with the awesome fact that 2,000 tickets have now gone, which is insane for January.

They promised anyone who bought blind that they would deliver and with that support they went after exclusive Bleeding Through and Nails sets.

Anyone who is still to pull the trigger, Damnation promise that they will ram this bill top to bottom with talent, and then turn their attention to a stacked Friday pre-show too.

Secure a ticket now for £8 plus booking fee and then further instalments of just £9 a go by heading over to www.damnationfestival.co.uk/tickets
