Singer-songwriter Sara Angel has released her latest single ‘What’s Love?’, a radiant new offering which see’s her continue to stake her claim as a rising voice in pop.

The 22-year-old artist, who has built a following of more than 300,000 across social media platforms and amassed over one million likes on TikTok, is using the track to further her reputation as a refreshing and boundary-pushing talent. Intimate and heartfelt, the track opens with a delicate piano under her silky smooth lead vocal. As the track builds introducing muted beats and layers of synth, the track reaches an infectious, soaring chorus which both gives the track a central hook but emphasises the emotional sincerity of the track.

As the track continues to build with the introduction of a full band through the second verse, the track captures a euphoric danceability through its climactic final section.

Speaking about the song, Angel explained: “‘what’s love?’ is about loving someone who’s already gone. It’s holding onto memories that still feel real, even when you know they’re not coming back. It’s the kind of love that hurts because it never had a chance to stay.”

Angel’s musical background reflects both her family roots and personal journey. The daughter of Christian artist Priscila Angel and Los Temerarios frontman Gustavo Angel, she was born in Mexico and raised in Texas.

She released her debut single Creo Que Voy A Llorar in 2023, marking the beginning of her career as a recording artist. Since then, she has steadily evolved her sound and sharpened her songwriting, with new music planned for release in the summer of 2025.

Reflecting on her path so far, Angel said: “I envision good things to come, but I’m still figuring it all out. I love music, and I want to create something where people feel seen, connected, and part of a community. That’s what this is all about for me.”
