Sleater-Kinney

Sleater-Kinney have release ‘Frayed Rope Sessions,’ a new audio and visual EP featuring powerful, hair-raising reimagined versions of three songs from their recently released critically acclaimed new album, ‘Little Rope‘.

The EP was recorded at Flora Recording in Portland, OR, the same location as their previous work, ‘Little Rope.’ It was produced by John Goodmanson, a long-time collaborator of the band since the 90s. Its release is timed to coincide with International Women’s Day, and proceeds from Bandcamp sales will be donated to Noise For Now. This national initiative supports artists in raising funds for grassroots organizations focused on Reproductive Justice, including access to abortion.

In addition to the EP, the band has released a video series titled ‘Little Rope Unraveled,’ featuring Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein. In the series, they delve into the origins and stories behind standout tracks from the album, including ‘Say It Like You Mean It,’ ‘Hunt You Down,’ and ‘Untidy Creature.’

Sleater-Kinney, will be performing on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon next Friday 15 March, and are currently on tour in support of ‘Little Rope.’ The tour will include Australian dates.
