Organisers have announced the first of their headliners for Stockton Calling 2023, a day-long music festival which takes place in Stockton-On-Tees across multiple venues and spaces on Saturday 8 April 2023.

The melodic indie rock outfit Circa Waves will be the headline act for The Point stage at ARC, Stockton Arts Centre.

Circa Waves were formed in Liverpool in 2013 with their melodic, propulsive rock sound, heavily inspired by the British indie rock scene around them at the time. Early successes led them to become a signed artist with Transgressive Records (the home of Foals, The Subways and Mystery Jets). The band have toured the world over, and released a fair few albums from which they’re hit the UK album charts a number of times with hits such as T-Shirt Weather, Do You Wanna Talk, Lemonade and Movies.

Jimmy Beck, one of the festival organisers from KU Promotions said about the announcement;

“We are absolutely delighted with Circa Waves signing up for Stockton Calling. Their records constantly raise the roof on a weekend at KU so we know this one will go off on the day. Can’t wait.”

Starts: 12pm | Sat 8 April 2023

Age Restriction: 14+ event. 14’s – 17’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Ticket Price: £35 available here

Stockton Calling is a day long music festival which takes over multiple venues in Stockton town centre on a day where over 80 bands performed in 2022. The festival is about showcasing some of the best original emerging music – both home-grown and from further afield – alongside some established favourites and legends.

The festival which is presented by ARC, KU Promotions, and Tees Music Alliance has built a reputation for showcasing some of the best up and coming bands from across the country alongside big names like We Are Scientists, Blossoms, Field Music, The Futureheads, and Sea Power.
