News: The Hoosiers announce UK tour ahead of release of new album “Confidence”.


Kicking off in Bristol on 28 September, the tour will see stops in LeedsSheffieldNewcastle and Manchester before concluding at Koko in London on 5th October.

After meeting in 1995, vocalist Irwin Sparkes and drummer Alan Sharland have been on an endless adventure around the globe ever since. Initially both playing in covers bands, the pair were advised to seek out their own life experiences in order to write some original material by their chemistry teacher so headed to Spain and later the US in pursuit of inspiration. 

Joining forces with Swedish recording studio engineer Martin Skarendahl in 2006, the band were signed by former Bros bassist and head of Sony’s RCA imprint Craig Logan in the same year. Releasing their debut album ‘The Trick To Life; in 2007, the band achieved rapid success hitting No.1 in the UK charts and spawning countless singles including the Top 5 hits “Worried About Ray” and “Goodbye Mr A”. 

Since then, the band’s debut has sold over a million copies worldwide, they’ve embarked on multiple sold-out tours and graced stages at the likes of GlastonburyIsle of Wight Festival and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend. Now, with a handful more studio albums and a never-ending amount of stories under their belts, The Hoosiers are gearing up to release their sixth LP ‘Confidence’. An effortlessly beguiling record that sees the band “more in love with each other, the band and making music with each other in this particular band than ever before,” the record is set to land on 15 September 2023.
