News: Up And Comer Guard Drops ‘Color by Numbers’ Single and Self-Directed Video Ahead of Album Release

Guard unveils his latest single, ‘Color by Numbers’, along with a self-directed music video, providing a taste of his forthcoming album, IT WAS ALL A MEME…, set to release on October 27th.

‘Color by Numbers’ is a moody exploration of the complexities of dating, set to a dark trap beat with Post Malone vibes. The track was the first written for the album, featuring lyrics co-written with fellow queer artist Indiana Williams, chronicling Guard’s journey to emotional stability.

Accompanying the single is Guard’s self-directed music video, offering a personal glimpse into his life, including a scar on his sternum. This creative endeavor is Guard’s way of embracing his true self and sharing the strength he’s found through adversity.

Mark your calendars for October 27 when IT WAS ALL A MEME… drops, marking Guard’s second full-length album after his 2020 release, ‘The Identified Patient’. The new album takes a more electronic turn, blending dance pop with trap and dancehall elements. Collaborations with artists like Lisa Terror and Soarer make this release one to watch, with Guard trusting his instincts both lyrically and melodically throughout the project. This album promises to be a captivating and introspective musical journey.
