PREMIERE: D’arcy explores the space between pleasure and pain on haunting new track ‘Ecstasy’

Putting herself on the map with the introductory Hard to Kill EP last August, D’arcy has since been at work on new material, not to mention the experimental pop space which she inhabits. While we wait to see what form her next move will take, we’re delighted to premiere her first new song of the year. ‘Ecstasy’ is a magnetic, deliciously dark song that’s as much about the atmosphere it creates as its musical progression.

Speaking about the inspiration behind her latest offering, the New Yorker tells us: [It’s] about the fine line between pleasure and pain; the concept for the song derived from the feeling of being at a party and wondering what everyone else there is trying to escape from, if anything at all.”

Out tomorrow, the song is the first taste of what D’arcy has in store for 2022, with more new music on the way. We’re excited, and you should be too. Stream ‘Ecstasy’ below:
