Premiere: Délage releases the indie / synth-pop of Shopping Mall

Out today on Field Mates Records (Jimmy Whispers, Yuko Yuko..) is the new single from Délage, led by Amsterdam based Till Hormann. It’s taken from his forthcoming second album ‘Twist And Doubt’, out in September 18th, and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it right here today on Backseat Mafia.

Starting like some of torch song, there’s echoes of early depeche mode, even Kraftwerk as these analogue sounding synths sprinkle melodies, chords and motifs that bleed into eachother. Over the top, Hormann’s rich baritone lays down this slice of perfect (synth)pop, half sung-half spoken, but somehow it melting into the synths and it’s melodies slowly take over and engulf you.

Check it out and go over to the label Bandcamp, especially on this Bandcamp Friday, and score yourselves some goodies.
