Kansas born, Nashville based pop scenester katie MAC is releasing her new single No Fun, and we’re delighted to premiere it right here on Backseat Mafia today. It follows last years debut album ‘Tears like Glitter’ which racked up 500k plays within a few months.
Of the new track, katie exclusively told us “No Fun is a song that I wrote about chasing that feel good, no pressure start to a relationship. All to realize your feelings might be deeper than you originally thought. The song signifies the beginning of a new and exciting phase for me as an artist where I am more honest and emotional than I’ve ever been. I hope fans can relate on some level, or at least have a lot of fun listening!”
Built on this earworm little guitar figure, before unfurling into a full on bubble-gum pop, all big chorus’s and tunes that get stuck in your head and have you joining in at first lesson, its a vehicle for Katie’s smart, sassy pop sensibilities.
