Premiere: Kitschen Boy are in their ‘Happy Place’ – a bright sparkling world of exuberant pop, with tour news.

We are pleased to give you an early listen to the joyous new single ‘Happy Place’ from Melbourne’s Kitschen Boy before its release tomorrow.

‘Happy Place’ is a bright jangling track that soars on an indelible melody with its scaling chorus and a brilliance that reminds me of eighties pop from bands like Haircut 100.

Lead singer, Dylan Baddeley speaks on the writing process of the track:

This track comes from the depths of a panic attack at a time you’d really prefer not to be there. ‘Happy
Place’ expresses the frustrations of needing to rely on crisis aversion techniques to continue through
everyday life and how inconvenient that can be when you are just trying to enjoy yourself

While there is a hint of darkness in the themes and delivery, it is jangling sparkling pop at its very best:

Out tomorrow, you can pre-save it here. A new EP is set to be released in May.

‘Happy Place’ will be supported with several live shows including Flavour Festival in Melton, Victoria
and a run of shows as part of the Great Southern Nights programming. All show details are outlined
