Premiere: Light By The Sea reveal new video for the gothic hue of new single Eleanor

Light By The Sea, aka Eszter Anna Baumann and Davy Knobel, got together over lockdown and recorded three singles with producer Eddy Bopp through the Winter, and are gearing up to return to the studio to finish the debut album they plan to release this coming October. Ahead of it, they’ve released a new video for their debut single, Eleanor and we’re delighted to be able to premiere it on Backseat Mafia today.

Citing their influences ranging from Dead Can Dance to Clannad, Fleetwood Mac and The Dandy Warhols, Eleanor is this rather beautiful slice of folk infused indie rock, with just a nod to goth contained within. Tinny guitar lines, swathes of synth all soaked in vocal harmonies and this ethereal hue draped over it, It draws you in with its melodies and Eszter’s emotive vocal. It’s somewhere between All About Eve and The Cranberries, all watched over by Wayne Hussey (kids, this is a compliment).

The video is equally epic and atmospheric. Dive in to both, here

Eleanor is out tomorrow. Pre-Save it here
