Premiere: Two Times Shy are at their ‘Wit’s End’ in a blistering pop punk blast.

Meanjin/Brisbane pop punkers Two Times Shy are not wilting wallflowers given evidence of their new single ‘Wit’s End’, which we are very pleased to premiere today.

With a buzz saw blitz married with powerful vocals and a keen pop sensibility, ‘Wit’s End ‘ is a vibrant hyperkinetic track that emits thunderbolts. The blistering guitars range from a scything drive to something more sibilant and snaky while the chorus scales great heights. Background harmonies add a sweet luster to the attack.

Singer Douglas Hudswell says of the track:

It’s an emotional journey, a reflection of those moments when you watch your life unravel, and everyone else seems to be moving forward while you’re stuck searching for answers.

The sense of yearning threads through the track:

‘Wit’s End’ is out tomorrow (Friday, 15 September 2023) and you can pre-save here.

You can catch Two Times Shy supporting UK band Punk Rock Factory on Thursday, 21 September 2023 – tickets available here.
