After impressing us at Backseat Mafia with previous single ‘Monkey Spank‘, we are beyond excited to be premiering the comedy metallers Uncle Dave’s Biscuit Barrel’s new track ‘The Bishop Of Bath & Wells’. This is the final single before the band release their debut E.P. ‘Uncle Dave’s Biscuit Barrel Goes Apeshit In Your Laundry’ due on the 31st of August.
The band state:
“The second single from Uncle Dave’s Biscuit Barrel is a perennial favourite from the back catalogue. ‘The Bishop of Bath and Wells’ is heavy stomper of a tune and a fitting hommage to the outrageous character from the BBC’s Blackadder II – a man who describes himself as “a colossal pervert” who will “do anything to anything”. I think we can all relate. No? Just me then…”
Heavy and hilarious with a grinding riff and menacing gruff vocals. It’s a brutal metal track, the fancy fretboard work and solid drumming see to that, the addition of the comical lyrics make it an absolute cracker.
