Tomorrow starts one of the most novel and exciting music events happening in Portugal at the moment, Reverence Valada Festival.
After last year’s excellent first edition of the festival, expectations have been overcome with this year’s more ecclectic but equally fresh line up of artists who will be performing on the 27th, the 28th and the 29th of August.
There are three different stages to accomodate the more than fifty Portuguese and international bands playing throughout the duration of this event, one of them next to a river beach (!). And speaking of bands, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Alcest, Electric Moon, The Horrors, Stoned Jesus, One Unique Signal, Amon Duul II, Magic Castles, Miranda Lee Richards, Purple Heart Parade, and Portuguese bands such as Bizarra Locomotiva, Keep Razors Sharp and Beautify Junkyards are a few of the acts in line to rock, stoner-rock, psych and ‘gaze your world to your heart’s content.
So get your sunscreen and beach towel, and prepare for a transcending journey through sound in sunny Portugal.
