For the best part of twenty years he was one half of Everything But The Girl, he then spent another ten years exploring the world as a DJ whilst running his own record label Buzzin’ Fly.
In April this year he returned to his roots and set about re-creating the singer/songwriter success with the release of ‘Hendra’. The album was supported with a string of tours in the UK, USA, Japan and Australia. (Click here for Backseat Mafia review and pics from Sheffield gig)
Since then Ben has had a slight change of personnel and teamed up once again with ex-Suede guitarist, Bernard Butler and Martin Ditchman, drummer for Talk Talk, Sade and The Waterboys.
With the album reaching critical acclaim both in the press and on radio, The Ben Watt Trio have announced a series of UK & Irish dates for late October/November, promising to deliver a set compromising of ‘recent songs and vintage jems‘.
