Metal supergroup Firstborn dropped their self-titled EP earlier this year and now share a track visualiser for track ‘Roll The Dice’
The bands members need very little introduction, Chris Adler (drums, ex-Lamb of God), James LoMenzo (bass, ex-Megadeth), Girish Pradhan (vocals, Girish and The Chronicles) and shadowy solo guitarist and “soft shred” pioneer Myrone.
“’Roll the Dice’ shows Firstborne turning another unexpected turn musically that I could not have done before,” says Adler. “It’s the perfect song to drive fast with the windows down air drumming on your wheel. Somewhat ironically, it speaks to how those memorable moments can turn to tragedy,” he continues, moving in a darker direction reflective of the serious undertones of the track. “We only go around this thing once and as Elvis Costello and, bizarrely, the Meatmen best said it back in the day, ‘Accidents will happen, you don’t know when, accidents are waiting around the bend.’ Enjoy what you have left.”
This is good old fashioned metal of the big hair days. Rampant drums, driving guitars and lung bursting vocals that scream and screech the way through this epic fest. The sound of a band indulging themselves and creating music they love as fans and musicians.
