After more than ten years of playing heartfelt, affecting indie/folk, Oxford quartet Stornoway are bowing out with an 11 date farewell tour, due to take place next February/March, beginning at the Sage in Gateshead on February 27th and ending with a hometown show at Oxford’s New Theatre on March 12th.

It follows the success of their third album, 2015’s Bonxie, their boldest and most ambitious set to date, which entered the UK Charts inside the top 20, and was produced by Gil Norton of Foo Fighters and Pixies fame. From it, the band have released a new video for the track Night Drive, a bonus track taken from Bonxie. Full of sweeping strings, hints of horns and this endlessly tumbling guitar, Night Drive is typically beautiful and emotive, and features footage from the bands career.

Check it out, here

The band have release a statement, saying “We have achieved far more as a band than we ever dared to dream back as students in a drafty east Oxford garage and we are immensely proud of the music we have created together.

We are eternally grateful to all our wonderful fans and friends who have given us so much support throughout our career, and we look forward to celebrating the last 10 years with you on our farewell tour next spring.”

We’ll miss them.

Tickets for the tour go on sale on Stornoway’s website on Friday 28th October at 10am, with London tickets available 48 hours in advance, from 10am on Wednesday 26th of October.
