South African Superstar Moonchild Sanelly to Headline Melbourne Club Night and Support Gorillaz

Moonchild Sanelly

Secret Sounds has announced that South African singer, Moonchild Sanelly will be performing a one-off show in Melbourne at The Night Cat on 23 July. This will be her only headline show before joining Gorillaz at their Splendour sideshows in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.

Sanelly, who is based in Johannesburg, released her debut album Rabulapha! in 2015. She has dominated the gqom and amapiano scenes in South Africa but is now also attracting international attention following collaborations with Wizkid, Beyonce (featuring on ‘MY POWER’), Ghetts (‘Mozambique’) and Gorillaz ‘With Love To An Ex‘. She has also worked separately with Damon Albarn via his side project, Africa Express.

The South African singer dropped her new album ‘Phases’ earlier this month. ‘Phases’ is an eclectic album featuring amapiano, gqom, grime, pop, house and R&B.
