Hull grunge trio Bloodhound unite forces with the nightmarish psychedelia of Brooders to bring us their latest single ‘FRSTRTD’. Expansive and menacing, ‘FRSTRTD’ immerses itself in a sludge of bone-grinding guitar riffs and tortured vocals; the result is commanding and visceral. The collaborators climb from a deep-set ennui, drumming up momentum, before unleashing a hellfire of fury. The Brooders’ instinct for theatrical atmosphere and progression is unmistakable on ‘FRSTRTD’. Their style melds brilliantly with Bloodhound’s lo-fi sound and air-tight instrumental prowess. This track is mean: an incredible collaboration that brings out the best of both.
