Canadian roots, rock, blues and soul band Bywater Call have shared their new single ‘Everybody Knows’, recorded and mixed by Bywater Call drummer Bruce McCarthy at The BeatFarm in Toronto,
Canada. This is their fourth single from their upcoming studio album, Shepherd, which is due out on August 9th.

“Told in three vignettes, connected by the chorus of ‘everybody knows the bed they sleep in’, this song is about how you can tell yourself whatever you want to hear, whatever makes you feel better,” says Bywater Call’s guitarist, Dave Barnes, “but ultimately, the truth is always waiting for you at the end of the day.”

This is what Bywater Call does so well: a guitar fretboard that is as smooth as Tennessee whisky, smokey vocals that are part gospel, part blues preacher and a horn section that raises the roof off the biggest of arenas. It’s a huge, huge song that demonstrates the band’s power and also why everyone should be listening to them.
