Brighton-based singer-songwriter Evangeline Eastwood has released her latest single, ‘I Know’, a heartfelt, piano-driven ballad that is out now. Making a name for herself playing live across Brighton, Evangeline has become known for her evocative songwriting and captivating performances, bringing both raw emotion with refined artistry to her performances.

Crafted alongside mixing engineer Alex Collins and mastering engineer Alex Barron, ‘I Know’ is a lush yet minimalist composition that lets the emotion take centre stage. The delicate piano arrangement supports soaring vocals, while the song’s poignant lyricism explores themes of love, longing, and resilience.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, Evangeline explains:
“‘I Know’ captures the ache of a long-distance relationship—the bittersweet reality of possibly never seeing each other again while still cherishing a genuine connection. The stripped-back production was intentional; this song needed to feel intimate and raw, allowing space for the emotions to breathe. Lyrically, it reflects on the idea that sometimes, when you know, you know—intuition outweighs logic when it comes to love.”

A firm believer in independent artistry, Evangeline made waves in 2024 with a successful acoustic tour across the UK, organised through her own independent company, Eastwood Events. Her DIY ethos and relentless drive have positioned her as a rising force in the industry, with a sound often likened to a fusion of Janis Joplin, Adele, and Joss Stone—blending soulful melismas with raw, powerful vocal delivery.

Beyond themes of love and heartbreak, Evangeline’s songwriting also tackles broader societal issues, including misogyny and sexism, reinforcing her role as both an artist and storyteller. Whether performing solo or accompanied by her backing musicians, her music remains deeply personal yet universally relatable.
