Track: Indiepop royalty Heavenly announce new album, release new single Excuse Me.

It’s overused I know, but indie pop legends (you find me a better description….) return with a new single Excuse Me, accompanied by news of a new album Highway To Heavenly, out on February 27th via Skep Wax. The original line-up; Amelia Fletcher, Peter Momtchilloff, Cathy Rogers and Rob Pursey are joined on drums by Ian Button, who takes on replacing the irreplaceable and much missed Matthew Fletcher.

Excuse Me sounds like they’ve never been away – all sweet melodies, the pulsating, punky jangle still in effect and edges are deliberately frayed into this gorgeous, organic bundle of DIY indie pop. If you’re not smiling within seconds and dancing within a minute, then there’s something seriously missing in your life.
