Isle of Wight beach punks Reminders are back with a pre lock down demo song that was sitting around gathering dust, due to the lack of togetherness that bands normally require to feed the artistic hunger, they have blown the dust away and worked their magic on a track that now gets it’s pride of place in the world.
The new single is essentially a failed lust story about Dyke’s endearingly naive fascination with a beautiful girl who worked behind the counter at the local fish n’ chip shop. After every shift at the funfair, Dyke found himself eating copious amounts of scampi and chips over a few months thinking he was making moves on his new fascination throughout the 2017 heat wave – needless to say he was unsuccessful!
The band have give a modern youth sound to what is essentially punk rock in essence, with a vocal that has all the rawness that perfectly compliments the beach punk sound and a sound that in small parts, hints of Blur, all wrapped around a lyrical insight into life in the real world.
Leo Dyke – vox/guitar ,Theo Afsarian – bass and Harry Spencer – drums
