Track: Mumble Tide – Love Thing

Bristol duo Mumble Tide have released ‘Love Thing’, the title track from their forthcoming debut EP, set for release on 13th November through Nothing Fancy. Navigating both the excitement and anxieties of a new relationship, the song ‘Love Thing’ was one of the first Gina Leonard wrote for Mumble Tide.

“We had tried a bunch of different versions of it in the studio when we were still figuring out our sound but nothing was really sticking.” says Gina, “In the end we took it back to my folks in Cambridge and spent a week working in it and everything clicked into place. It’s pretty sweet and hopefully one to lift your spirits. Our label buddy Benjamin Woods (The Golden Dregs) kindly laid down his tasty beats for us.”

The sweetest vocals over a soft bass melody sees this summery track take over your life for a couple of minutes. Theres a wonderful positivity that feels very much needed during these times.

There followed the woozy delights of “Breakfast” and last month’s sweeter “Love Thing”. […]
