Track: Snow Ghosts – Prophecies

Steve Gullick

Snow Ghosts have shared the third single from their forthcoming album, ‘The Fell’, which is set for release on the 24th of February via Houndstooth. Following the propulsive dense electronics of ‘Curse‘ and the earthy folk of ‘Buried‘, the band share the delicate, suspense-filled new track ‘Prophecies’ along with a video, commenting:

“Prophecies is about the seasonal gatherings that mark the year. These ritualised festivals reaffirm it’s cyclic nature but at their heart they are more about bringing together communities with music and dance.”

Mysterious suspense filled drama that builds with various electronic soundscapes prickling under Hannah Cartwright’s cold and haunting vocals. The steady percussive tick and rise and fall of the music give a bleak landscape with only Cartwright’s vocals to cling to for any sense of safety. Atmospheric brilliance.
