Somethings in life are pretty damn good. Lot’s of music is pretty damn good. Admittedly some music is better than other music. But no matter what the time or where I find myself, I always fall soft for some good ol’ punk rock. Now much like music in general, there’s lots of damn fine punk rock around, but when you combine members of The Freaks Union, Lowlife, Acid Drop, The Dead Pets, and Geoffrey Oi’cott you get something a bit more than damn fine, you get something that is fucking glorious. Literally.
The Fuckin’ Glorious are a Leeds four piece no nonsense straight up punk band, and this their first release. Slice of Life , according to lead singer Beaker “ is a song about trying to obtain the unobtainable. Dreaming of a better life until reality hits you between the eyes like a big hammer of truth. A prison with no walls.”
