Larkin Poe, fresh off their peformance at this year’s Bluesfest are playing the Metro Theatre in Sydney tonight. This is their second trip to our shores – the group wowed crowds back in 2019 for their debut Bluesfest appearance.

Rebecca and Megan Lovell, originally from North Georgia, now residents of Nashville, bring their infectious energy and captivating stage presence to a capacity Sydney crowd. Foreshadowing the exceptional guitar skills that they will flaunt tonight, Larkin Poe stride on stage to Cream’s ‘White Room’.

Rebecca is on lead vocals and guitar and Megan on vocals and slide guitar. The sisters have been performing together for 18 years now and it shows as they effortlessly blend elements of traditional blues and folk music with modern rock and roll, creating a unique and exciting sound that appeals to the crowd tonight – a mix of the young and not-so-young. With tight and impeccable harmonies the sisters weave their way through a setlist that showcases their riff-heavy guitar virtuosity. Certainly the highlight of the Easter weekend for those in the audience at the Metro tonight.
