It’s always good to see Tom Smith performing and see how much he has changed and how far he has came in his music career. As soon as Tom came on stage the whole crowd started to cheer his name and singing along to his lyrics. Tom has such a unique powerful voice which really comes into its own on my favourite song of his ‘Convince yourself’. It’s such a powerful track with the heavy fuzz guitar along with Tom voice the whole crowd were dancing along.

Wow what an amazing night and it has been such a nice warm welcome back for Tim Burgess. Support came from Dean McMullen. This was the first time seeing him perform and he blew me away with such a powerful voice. He has got such a unique tone and everyone was so quiet listening to his set enjoying his rhythmic guitar sounds.

Once McMullen had warmed the crowd up, it was time for Tim Burgess to the joy of his beloved fans who welcomed him with huge applause. The warm welcome continued as Burgess entertained the crowd throughout the night. It has been a very long time since I last saw Burgess perform at a sold-out gig at the old Pop Recs at Fawcett St in Sunderland and tonight has shown he has not lost any of his magic.
