Brooklyn five piece For Lean return with a new track New Hobbies. They’re a band with a growing reputation,following on from their two early EP’s, and true dates with the likes of HAIM, Future Islands and the Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Taken from their debut album Quiet Day, forthcoming on Ooh La La Records, New Hobbies is enjoyable and rollocking indie right from the off, as drives along with some call and response in the vocal line, albeit with the response purely musical from these edgey guitars and trashy drum sounds. Its when it reaches the chorus that it really comes alive, sugared by these vocal harmonies and singalong melodies.
Its not even two minutes but its plenty long enough to fall in love with.
