Before we kick off with the first vinyl only release from Yuku, here is a little info on one of my new favorite labels that’s hitting it out the park with their Bass, IDM, Experimental, Down Tempo, Drum and Bass. YUKU is a record store, label, gallery, and exploratory space located in Žižkov, Prague. Brimming with a carefully curated selection of records and art books from a variety of artists and labels that they love. A welcoming environment brimming with music and art, and is intended for people both curious and creative. A comfortable and safe space for listeners, viewers, and creators is the heart of their concept. If your ever in Prague, pop in.

Imaginary Number is first up in a series of vinyl and streaming platform-only white label releases on YUKU. The series will feature various artists releasing under different new names. Imaginary Number has hit the road running with four deadly 130-bpm club tracks.

Check out: FRS from the release:

Verdict: Infectious Bass and heavy beats, served up on a bed of darkness, moody Bassline/Broken beat at its best. Imaginary Number brings a different twist to each track, creating shades of light and dark in the soundscapes, but one thing lies at the heart of this release that connects them all, Bass……deep, heavy, bin shaking lines of sub frequencies. For a while, break led music became too formulaic and predictable, luckily this is seeing a change. More artists are pushing the boundaries further, producing music that has imagination and depth and this, the first white label/vinyl only release from Yuku is a perfect example of that. Solid Stuff.
