Chilean born, New York based producer Nicolas Jaar is back with the latest in his Nymphs series – “Fight (Nymphs IV)”. It follows (unsurprisingly) his Nymphs I – III 12″, and comes in the wake of his Pomegranates album.
Describing the track only as “This nymph swam to gent”, it opens with these slightly watery chords, which gradually become clearer and edgier as the music unfurls. Initially slow moving, it suddenly flowers into life, with beats and pads scattered all over the track, alongside a smattering of electronics, until it begins to morph into something more structured, built on these vocal samples.
