News: Amber Run Announce New Album and Headline UK Tour

Amber Run retreated to the shadows after the release of their debut album 5am, presumably to write another handful of melancholic songs that feel like mugs of tea on foggy Sunday afternoons; offering comfort in times when you feel lost.

The four-piece have just announced details of their sophomore LP, titled ‘For A Moment, I Was Lost‘, due to be released February 10th 2017. Containing 12 new tracks, the album promises a collection of simple, emotive songs that give you permission to find comfort in sadness.

“The new album trims the fat from our previous music, and get down to the bare bones of the songs,” Amber Run explain. “We’re songwriters, and where 5AM was a collection of songs written in our youth, these new songs are, for us, a timely response to more recent experiences.”

Fickle Game is the latest offering from Amber Run, accompanied with its own music video. Its simplicity makes it so enticing, as you watch lead singer Josh Keogh stare into your soul, uttering honest words that draw out your feelings one by one. “Fickle Game is about self-reflection in the music industry – how being in a band can, if you let it, stop being spontaneous and easy and instead become overly political and eventually exhausting,” explains Josh.

The songs may be simple, but it’s the complex emotional depth that hook you in, pulling you deeper into melancholic heartbreak and cloudy daydreams. If the world is getting too noisy, lock the doors and keep Amber Run close. They’re a moment of clarity in our chaotic lives, and we’ll be better for it if we just listen.
